When the universalization of “Star Wars” is complete, it will no longer be a story but an aesthetic: http://nyer.cm/tk1Myd4 pic.twitter.com/bj7UYCiHBD

What inspired the scene of Leia's impromptu force display in surviving the explosion, and getting back to the ship from the void of space intact? (Besides her part of the ship getting blown up. 🙄)

“Solo” discovers that the young Han is pretty much identical to the older one, with the same skills, mannerisms, and values." This is absolutely not the case. One thing I appreciated in Solo is that young Han is *not* simply the same as older, Episode IV Han.

I agree, young Han is far more idealistic. The driving force in his life for the first half of the film is to get home to rescue Qi'ra. That's the total opposite of ANH Han, who won't get off his backside to save Leia until he's assured of a big payday.

“ ‘Solo’ an entertaining movie, with engaging performances, vivid production design, and enthralling action sequences.” ...that said, let me turn in a lazy, overwrought, derivative hit piece that’s about something other than enjoying movies. @starwars @RealRonHoward: pay no mind!

Oh my friends at the @NewYorker. Why would editorial allow "lightsaber" to be spelled "lightsabre"? That's more froo-froo than one of Ziro the Hutt's more-fabulous hats.

Star Wars is our generation's kitsch. It's a velvet Elvis painting, a collectable figurine, a leopard print sofa.
