In an era rife with unbelievability, here was another near-unbelievable moment: the reality-TV mogul Kim Kardashian meeting with the reality-TV mogul Donald J. Trump, at the White House—an “American Gothic” for the age of gaudy, late-capitalist spectacle. http://nyer.cm/uYXX5kG pic.twitter.com/alEhyRUSqi

This show is getting super boring. Just reruns (Mexico will pay for the wall), and meaningless side stories. Hope it gets cancelled.

Everybody in the hood go read up on 'late stage capitalism'... It means basically we have reached a maximum for greed. And these blind people are the symbol of that peak greed. Capitalism ain't going anywhere, it's like star wars...a new generation comes. It's not personal.

That's too grand an interpretation. It's a hot chick with big boobs meeting a horny guy who likes big boobs. Both famous for cashing in on their private lives to indiscriminate reality junkies in an age of overworked celebrity. If photo op is anything, it's sad social commentary.

The flashbulbs are so much brighter here. After all, this is the land of laugh tracks, big screen TVs and Cadillacs, where games shows are broadcast twenty-four hours a day and everyone is a winner http://bit.ly/1fuI5FJ
