So many things wrong with this article but the one that really got to me was saying how they avoid political songs. Obviously the writer had no background knowledge on any of this when their political songs is one of the things that sets them apart.

Hi! Please take some notes from this article. It shows a well-constructed and researched view on BTS’s outbreak in America insead of restating the old narrative of crazy fangirls on ARMYs and some weird political agenda on BTS. Thank you!https://twitter.com/rollingstone/status/1001523922897178624?s=21 …

If all it took was dangling earrings and makeup for a man to be androgynous, then Keith Richards and his twin Johnny Depp are androgynous.

@NewYorker this is the type of articles you allow to be published? What is this rubbish with hidden criticism using fancy diction? Check the real facts before letting her riding on her condescending horse of racism and assumptions

K pop’s popularity in the US precedes THAAD by many years. There is no causation, not even correllation. Just coincidence. It *is* possible for South Korea to have more than one thing happening at the same time, you know.

No lust in Kpop? This video from 2003 is about a one night stand. Pretty obvious even if you, like me, do not understand Korean.https://youtu.be/lbi6EHEjOJc

U.S. based @soompi has been writing about #Kpop for 20 years. @kconusa has been putting on well-attended kpop concerts and conventions since 2012 not only in the US but also Europe, the Middle East, and Latin America. All this precede THAAD by many years.
