Capitalism is not democratic, democracy not capitalist. A precarious compromise between the two systems leads to socioeconomic inequality and/or political inequality; capitalist democracies simply can’t exist. Economic oligarchies can.

Capitalism is reaching a dead end. Its constant need for growth is destructive. It pollutes the environment, worsens global warming and creates an ever larger division between the declining wealth of the masses and the small percentage of the monopolizing rich.

The strangulation of capitalism will eventually choke the life out of working class citizens, making it harder and harder to rise above the tier they are born to. Politicians in our country now, have but one purpose, to accelerate this process. In that, they are winning.

Except the fact that if the U.S. wasn’t covering all of those countries defence budgets someone running in with a spoon could conquer them. Not to mention most of those “democratic socialist” countries keep saying “stop calling us socialist”.

lol. Who exactly is plotting to invade all of Scandinavia? That’s a sad excuse for the US to waste half its budget on war toys.

What about the Soviet Union who would literally control they entirety of eastern europe if it wasn’t for the United States “war toys” following world war 2. So much hate for the only country preventing this world from genuine destruction.

Capitalism and democracy is a strained relationship. The best outcome is a mixed economy with checks and balances. Control growth with built-in recession.
