Experts estimate a 35% chance of a U.S. civil war over the next ten to fifteen years. What do historians think?http://nyer.cm/MadCpII

FWIW, I've been homeless, endured much violence/assault, sustained kids on waitress wages, finished college at 37, depend dearly on what I earn to survive. No safety net. Grateful. No civil wars, please

I share the concerns. We are mostly on the same side. Civil war I don't see as a solution

Do you see any other solution? I have lived my life on that trembling edge as a single parent. If tRump and the GOP manage to sink the working class, there will be no way to work hard enough to survive. The Putin strategy of siphoning off resources is in play.

if Trump gets two terms the chances might increase by 5% because he is most polarizing president so far on many issues and has taken such harsh stances that.

realistically speaking close to it but can't be actually dictatorship because US public, society, institutes and states are very much independent in itself so he could be authoritative in himself but can't completely take over all media, civil society and independent watchdogs

because in most countries where martial laws happen are institutes too weak, media is totally censored, civil society as no effective voice, no independent think tanks and private sector is not much vibrant. So in US its hard to turn around so much democratic and liberal norms.

It starts to slowly change. It takes years sometime decades to do it peacefully under cover but eventually they get there

You have all the makings for it. The coasts against the middle. Armed militias living in fear of losing their guns and east and west coasters trying to preserve their democratic freedoms.

So you’d rather give your hard earned bucks to money grubbing health insurance companies who really have your best interests at heart. Yeah sure. Keep believing that con job. Like your president.

So most of your people will live one step from bankruptcy should a medical crisis befall them. That from the so called best country on earth who doesn’t give a fig for those who need help.

Well if you have no health insurance or insufficient coverage just the delivery of a baby is on average $10,000. In Canada = $0. Many of your people are in that category, perhaps not yourself.pic.twitter.com/pTk57hEdW3
