I read this thinking it would mention something about the game themselves needed to understand the changing demographic of these types of games. But it doesn't.https://twitter.com/Kotaku/status/1057776748564234246 …

As we get past the age of 25 games such as Oxenfree, Tacoma, or Hue that are beaten in 3-6 hours seem way more enticing than a game that takes 60 Hours to beat

I disagree, I love games that take months to complete with in-depth stories and character changes. But game that is 60 hours in which 30 hours is "horse travel" is horse shit.

The horse travel aren’t empty experiences. There are random encounters, opportunities to level up your gear/horse/equipment. Optional missions which you need to discover.

Yes, and they are fine, but sometimes, I just want to sell my stuff, clear a mission and go to bed. Other times, I like to ride the range. Give me the option.

It’s almost like you didn’t play the first game, that no fast travel is a surprise.

The first game was generation ago. You are telling me you expect no advancement in any games you play from generation to generation? Do you yell at the game and say "Be more like Pong!"

No, but I have an idea of what the game will entail based off the first game. It’s a rpg set in the old west. The examples you named, it would make sense if there was a fast travel because science/magic! You’re sounding like the old man yelling at the clouds.

That's bullshit. The last game had Zombies and that weird magic dude. This game has horses that can hold a campfire.

But did it have fast travel?
