It took more than two years to scale the data used in the book, "The First Political Order: How Sex Shapes Governance and National Security Worldwide." The book's analysis used 7 control variables, 9 dimensions of nation-state outcomes, and 122 outcome variables.

Beginning at the household level, the subordination of women is the largest indicator of nation-security. More so than other indicators of land degradation, ethnoreligious relationships, and others analyzed in the book. #GenderatWilson

Despite countries doing well according to the Syndrome, i.e. the U.S. and Australia, there are still many challenges faced by women in those countries. #GenderatWilson
