Republicans just want a fair trial:
-No documents
-No witnesses
-Assumed innocence before the trial
Is this really too much to ask @SenateDems?

I think they will still vote to acquit, and I hope it is an albatross on every R Senator up in November.
-
For sure. If Bolton testifies his words should be that trump directly asked for the aid. That should give people more than enough to vote for impeachment hopefully push at least the moderates over the line

What would you think about a Mike Pence presidency?
-
Good question. I used to respect him but the way he’s stood by trump no matter what is horrible. He is more to the right than me. I also think it’s possible he was involved in the Ukraine scandal. Overall I think he is more of a stable person than Trump and that’s a start.

I hope he does, will they still acquit? IDK, If they hear witnesses? At most, a censure.
-
I’m unsure, Robbie. But I do know that his testimony would be a serious problem for trump and right now we’ll take that :)

It's the house's case. It's the president's defense. It's the house that bears the burden of making a case and obtaining the evidence to do so via legal means. The defense enjoys a presumption of innocence, among other due process rights, until they're successfully convicted.
