Hey Keem - the claim was released early this week. Also, we take action on those who abuse our copyright tools, up to terminating abusive users (which is what happened here). Thanks!

Then why is it being abused on the entire site?

Unless you terminated UMG, which is a major money hungry company who will abuse the copyright claim features on your site

We're also concerned about the sudden change in how our tools are being used. We have a team talking to labels, as well as thinking about what if anything needs to be changed in the product. Will share any detailed updates as we get them.

There need to be a 3 strike system for people that do false claims and once they get 3 strike they are immediately terminated and can no longer claim videos. Also all money on claimed videos should be held by YT until the claim is resolved then pay out to the winner.

The idea is great but YouTube will never do that because it will hurt advertisers and shit like that. Also they’re YouTube, they don’t care about the community. They only do something if they get spammed all over the place. They will never do something good on their own smh...

YT has similar, who abuse the copyright tools. Why would it hurt advertisers if it's companies & networks coursing the problems. All YT has to do is tell them to be specific to the claim & get details most networks claim the whole video to work around edit tool(1)

(4) that way all the data you collect about that channel will pin point to the original channel instead of all random 3rd party data who owns who. Like
