    I think terms such as "accepted", "enough", "sufficient", "established" both in +/- sense aren't useful. They aren't scientific descriptions themselves, yet, if they come from a field authority, they can lead to entire lines of research either living forever or dying prematurely

    Types of peer review: 1) 3 anonymous scientists write secret reviews in a process that takes a few months 2) dozens of known experts write comments that anyone in the world can see hours after a paper is posted (e.g this thread 👇) Explain to me again why is 1 >> 2?

    Pulls together nicely several themes we've been discussing for the past few years. The current model of publication and correspondence by journal is a 19th century construct. To truly deliver change, the whole model needs to more open, agile and adaptive.
