Sadly it seems to me there’s a good chance he is neurodivergent af. This is what internalized oppression looks like. Also: ignorance and narcissism, which neurodivergent folks are not immune from.

Certainly for Autism many Autistics don't want to be cured but I can see some parents of autistic kids jumping at it. Also some Autistics that have ended up hating being Autistic. Not sure if I would have taken it though when my now Ex had me hating myself for being Autistic.
