#istandwiththebanned. Banned Google accounts for a few emojis. That is unacceptable. Many people lost tools, accounts, videos, memories, irreplaceable backups of anything, documents. I don't know what these people used their personal accounts for, but this is devastating.

On the better side of chance
@Google, you just deleted valuable things that on the low end is hundreds of dollars worth of stuff like images, family photos, and more that might have never gotten a chance to be backed up elsewhere, and rule followers lost those for a few emojis.1 reply 1 retweet 1 likeShow this thread -
@TeamYouTube could have simply removed them from the YouTube platform and it would fucking suck but they still had their files sent and saved to Google Drive so if anything important is on their account it isn't lost. That isn't a perfect way to do this but it is better.1 reply 1 retweet 2 likesShow this thread -
This could be done by AI and bots sure, but every review of an appeal is done by a human right? So maybe a fucking human can save their important data. I am fuming right now, ngl. I have very few options for backups myself and over $500 worth of data in Drive for one email alone

If I sold the data and the information of ALL my GOOGLE CONNECTED accounts ALONE I would make an easy $7.5K, and if Google deleted it all I would be furious. Also to those against ALT accounts, let's be honest if you don't have ONE alt you really dont take security seriously.

But that alt account security rant is for another time.
@Google @TeamYouTube @SusanWojcicki @sundarpichai ANYONE at Google or YouTube who is willing to listen, this is beyond not okay. There were thousands of options if you even thought this was punishable for some reason.
