Agreed, Also, accuracy depends on the historian attached to the production. In all the film/TV attempts to visually depict the Aztec culture, not one has gotten it right.

I second that. No film or tv series has gotten this right before. I say this as a Mexican-born novelist with 7 published books devoted to Aztec culture. A better approach is possible! Listen to @AztecEmpire1520. Us creators are already out there! We are just not discovered yet.

Nice but the notion that the value of historians as only a source of economic value for entertainment ind as miners of creative ore is very troubling. Historians are fundamental to the health of every just and successful society (apologies to Hippocrates) #HistoriaLongaVitaBrevis
I get what you're saying, but history will get mined for creative ore with or without professional historians, and I think that Netflix 1) taking that extra effort to get the background details right and 2) crediting the people who enable them to do it is objectively positive.
