  1. (Although demographics etc obviously have an impact, but Brexit giving a sense of control plus propaganda about the ‘right’ kind of immigrant means that these attitudes don’t necessarily translate to much meaningful for immigrants - i.e HO reform and making their lives easier)

    Much of England is entering an era of no-party politics, in which voters stay at home or vote grudgingly at best. A lot of protest voters looking for a suitable outlet. Very reminiscent of the period immediately before the Brexit vote -- only without UKIP

    A personal call out to any Lebanese showing support for Black Lives Matter: this also means black lives in our own country. Black women are essentially slaves to their employers under the kafala system. Put this energy to calling that out, every day. Not just this week.
