Speaking personally, I was somewhat scared to post my Anti-Blackness in Smash thread because of the blowback I'd get both off-site & sometimes in-site. And while the off-site responses were better than I expected, the thread unearthed more racist than I expected. (Continued)

The only reasons I'm still on the site are for SmashEra & to have a bigger platform for my bigger write-ups. And while the former does have their own Discord, there isn't really any other platform for the latter outside of starting my own blog. (Continued)
With all that being said, I'm also not blind to how the moderation staff has been failing minorities, including the Black community. And as someone who's been there since the beginning, it deeply saddens me. I do hope things improve, but perhaps that's a foolish hope.

In the case of HeroR, I tried to report her racism early on. But nothing was done about her until said racism became blatant. And while she was eventually perma-banned, she shouldn't have been able to derail the tread for as long as she did. So yeah, you aren't wrong.
