My video has been stuck at 360p for nearly an hour and a half.
This can really really hurt performance.

Thanks for the tag , the availability of HD may take a bit longer than other resolutions – we’re working to improve this! If you’d prefer to wait for HD, you can upload your video as unlisted and make it public once it’s available. More: https://yt.be/help/3QZ9 . Hope this helps!

8+ hours so far seems like more than "a bit". And it's literally stuck at 360p. I'm not just waiting for HD. I'm waiting for literally anything. Do I just delete the video at this point because it's basically dead? And then try again?

Did it work? Cause that literally just happened to me, it has been 9 hours since my upload and still 360p. First time that happened to me.

Just woken up (bad night of stomach pain so it’s late haha) and it’s now 1080p so I’m just going to cut my losses and accept it this time. Think I’ll now try uploading a day early and wait for it to hit HD before posting when possible.

It's what I always do, not for this reason but for any possible copyright stuff

yeah that's exactly the same reason if you upload it on the day there's nothing you can really go back on
