Do people imagine that the kind of cis men who are violent and abusive to women see trans men and trans masc people as fully men, and not as defective uppity women to be violently driven back to their place?

Do people imagine that the category of "(people perceived as) women who have been victimized by (cis) men's violence" doesn't include trans men and trans masc people?

Do you think maybe the categories are more complicated than "men" and "women" when you're discussing gendered violence and how it impacts people, unless maybe you are being either thoughtlessly or deliberately transphobic?

I feel much safer being viewed as a woman who is just, masculine and aggressive. I've been some what safe that way. Men sometimes listen when they are scolded by a woman and they are expecting passiveness. But, being viewed as a GNC man is scary. I'm afraid of that shift.

I'm getting to that point too, where I wear a dress and I'm hairy and people won't know what to think of me, but they will probably not respond well
