Does Galatians 2 have "absolutely nothing to do with race?" Respectfully submitted:https://www.thegospelcoalition.org/blogs/jared-c-wilson/peter-paul-race/ …

Walk it back, minimize the initial claim, grab a few citations that seem friendly, and call it good. Yes, I will interact with it as the fact remains the modern SJW application is dangerous and must be seen for what it is, an a-contextual abuse of a key soteriological text.

In Philippians 3:5 what exactly is Paul trying to convey when he says that he was “of the nation of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, a Hebrew of Hebrews.” AND then he says and then to the LAW a Pharisee, and to righteousness which is in the law found blameless. It was a BOTH/AND

Their “Hebrew-ness” was a thing. Even to the point of Paul having to correct the thought they weren’t saved by being sons of Abraham. To discount this thinking is a million percent WRONG.

Everyone seems to now agree that Gal. 2 is about soteriology: we're saved by grace through faith alone, not by circumcision, or race, or works of the law. The question is whether "concern over faith alone" should be called "concern over racial justice"

The entire book of Galatians is about Sola Fide. But, it doesn’t discount the thinking that the Israelites had thought they were somehow privileged in the simple fact they were Hebrews, and TO THEM were given the oracles of God as Romans states. Like I said, it’s a both/and sir.

Don’t waste your time, sister. It is pointless to argue with those whose job it is to argue for the entertainment of others.

Jared, I actually RT'd your article in support of your position. But after looking back at the original Tweet, I think people were right to raise concerns. I'm glad you clarified. Let's not divide into tribes; we're brothers.
