  2. Kommersant has published a map showing the prospective road and rail links that will be opened between Armenia and Azerbaijan, linking Armenia to Russia and Azerbaijan to Turkey. Essentially reviving the Soviet-era railway closed since 1990.

  3. It did seem to me that Putin was not very pleased with Aliyev and his framing of the Karabakh conflict. The two held an additional bilateral meeting after the trilateral summit.

    Four-hour trilateral meeting between Putin/Pashinyan/Aliyev in Moscow is over and outcomes being announced now. A joint Arm/Az agreement was signed for 'development of Karabakh' (no details yet). Aliyev stated that Armenia will have a rail link to Russia via Azerbaijan.

    Pashinyan's spokeswoman today refuted rumours circulating in Armenia that this meeting will involve any territorial negotiations. She also emphasized that there is no mention of a 'corridor' from Azerbaijan proper to Nakhchivan in Nov 10 ceasefire deal.

    Talking to an Armenian distributor working with Kataro for years the other week, about $6-7 million dollars of modern equipment was lost by Kataro when the facility was captured. A massive financial hit for anyone, let alone someone from Karabakh.
