In philosophy, there are two major types of philosophers Those who provide the tools and methods by highlighting them, and those who offer a crafted vision like a farmer-cook that puts the dish on your table. I go for the former even if it's good to have an actual food to test.

I very much people like Grünbaum, Lakatos, late Carnap and others. They do give their big pictures but they also give you a lot of craft materials such that you can go on and make a different philosophy.

I really have to thank you for introducing me to Goodman. To read someone peddling such a modern and honest aesthetics ensnared me immediately, and I have never felt such an affinity for so-called analytic philosophy.

Fact, Fiction, and Forecast, On Worldmaking and Of Mind and Other Matters are all super-modern in style and content. But The Structure of Appearance is his best and the least read book due to its extreme difficulty and its reliance on some of the Carnapian themes in Aufbau.
