Pontecorvo’s film is astonishing. Managed to see it on the big screen a couple of times over the years. Even wrote a paper on it in college. Have you seen his film Burn! ?

Yes, I've watched the farsi dubbed version of Burn when I was a child. Should check the original. The Battle of Algiers is magnificent and highly popular among the unorthodox military schools. Fun fact: US Naval Academy teaches both the Battle of Algiers and Cyclonopedia🤯

I was talking about it earlier on. Only watch a dubbed version when I was in elementary school. Need to revisit.

But I really tried to enjoy Romain Gavras’ The World Is Yours (Le Monde est à toi). It felt much like Pedro Almodovar’s recent films which I also want to enjoy and can not

I love all of Costa Gavras’ works, particularly this one. Have you seen the Chris Marker doc on Yves Montand? I must admit I dont care for Gavras’ sons films however.
