      How long did it take you to get it published? That always reminds me of Beckett's Murphy and those 40 refusals by publishers (at least we know what Waiting for Godot is about). Documentary is a great choice of format. Cyclonopedia feels like one (and de facto is one).

      I finished it in 2005. The first publisher who wanted to publish it was Creation Books which went bankrupt, and then friends like China and others tried to get it published, but not one wanted it from semio-text(e) who was interested initially to small presses.
