How long did it take you to get it published? That always reminds me of Beckett's Murphy and those 40 refusals by publishers (at least we know what Waiting for Godot is about). Documentary is a great choice of format. Cyclonopedia feels like one (and de facto is one).

I finished it in 2005. The first publisher who wanted to publish it was Creation Books which went bankrupt, and then friends like China and others tried to get it published, but not one wanted it from semio-text(e) who was interested initially to small presses.

Their loss. Btw, this is my peak oil selection. Cyclonopedia has, of course, a clear advantage of being shot from the oil’s POV, although Herzog and Queneau/Resnais come pretty close to that.pic.twitter.com/2cSYHwT3Av

Can't compete with that, haha. Was amazed by the parallels with The Black Gondolier tho. We did a whole episode of Pisalni stroji on that once.

Don't worry, I will read all of them. Re Black Market: please talk to Škufca about it (and, you know, all the other formalities).

I will email Andrej. While I'm disappointed that I couldn't get it done in time but glad it can be published before the show.
