I always feel like going into the safe haven from Berlin, as I live in Kreuzberg close to Kottbusser Tor, so police chasing drug dealers and start up zombies chasing clout is my daily experience...

My only experience of safe and dull which is not a bad thing was in Karlsruhe, just because nothing was ever open.

Sloterdijk was humorous and hospitable, he made me chicken so I can't talk behind him. But his friend the director Andrei Ujica was insufferable. I finally gave up in the last night after getting drunk and said: We Americans and Iranians don't want to hear your sad stories.

He is a perfect chameleon. But also one of the wittiest people I have ever seen. When I went to his apartment, he had cyclonopedia on his desk. He told me I was reading your book. I said, the position of this book on your desk is too perfect and you weren't. That broke the ice.
