The idea that there is such a thing as analogue computation is a classic oxymoron. The logic of the digital is computation and vice versa. (Now let's see how quickly this thread devolves.)
Logical gates as engineers use them are fundamentally digital to begin with. You can get some fuzzy variations but you can account for it through weak effectiveness.

hmm disagreed here. I'm looking it up now and it seems my assumption was correct, P is implemented by a simple voltage divider amp, and I and D through the use of capacitors, a process that would be a stretch to call digital

These are fuzzy variables which go into every form of modeling. Digital computation can take care of them by introducing either something like paraconsistent logic, by weakening the criteria of effectivity or by moving toward a truly concurrent logic of computation.
