I have a page on it in I&S. The argument syntax is flawed on the ground that semantics is nothing but syntax in interaction. The Chinese room is a syntax manipulator and the environment, its interactions nods. Where else semantic emerges if not through interaction?

Arguably Reza, and this is a criticism my friend Kripke makes, but this is a misundersranding of semantics unless you reduce it to gesture like Andy Clark and Chalmers do. Still it isnt so much a response to Red Room as it is a rejection of premises and this is contingent on

No they are syntax-reductivists, I'm talking about the interaction theory of syntactic acts which is an entirely different thing.

There is a paragraph on page 11 concerning the portability of content and the reliable presence of local environment to exploit contingent factors. This fits with inferentionalalist meaning; “syntactic expressions as items of language assume semantic value or meaning when

That's just Brandomian version which only touches at the surface of what interaction, confrontation of elementary syntactic actions, is or entails.

It doesnt matter who said it, its the same move that can be expanded from room-to-world but still is a different treatment of performed syntax vs what Searle meant; having read these pages in I&S many times and written an article about your response to Searle,

I just dont see how the many mansions response doesnt contain this “broadening” move you claim qua semantics emerging out of minimal syntactic rules of confrontation-cum-basic axiomatic acts
