Never trusted philosophers even though I'm one of them. The response to covid finally shed a good deal of illusion. Old philosophers on one side such as Agamben and Badiou and a new gen of philosophers who are for the most part sober, serious, grim and above all mostly honest.

How is that relevant to your point? He is saying the groups attacking Macron, who have already been attacking Marcron, don't have any place to take moral highground any more than any other activist group so they shouldn't appropriate it as if they saw it coming

The context from which he emerges is decrepit 101. His enmity to Macron so as his stanning of Pol Pot in the 70s were all on a dogmatic kitsch marxist footing. I'd be happy to Skype about this as I'm lazy when it comes to typing.
