My sister has been taking to her former colleagues at Shiraz Medical University. They no longer share the data with the government, only among themselves. They say that the latest estimate of fatality in Iran is between 15% to 17%, with 25% fatality of those who are under 40.

Provided this is all true, do you think those numbers are attributable to conditions within Iran, or is the virus just deadlier than the public has been led to believe?

They think it's a mix of under-testing (far more infected people) and yes poor conditions.
