One of the most effective tropes in all horror genre is this line “Well, I feel somehow I was doing it for someone else.” or some variations of it, from in the mouth of madness to nameless to song of kali, etc.

Nothing more terrifying than an alien agency, embodied in its best possible incarnation in processes of writing. but then what alien agency isn't exactly you coming back to yourself in a manner that your hard-installed ICE cannot detect any insurgency against the psy-repressions.
