I'd take a human life over a cultural site any day. But speaking of them I was invited to attend the Arba'een Pilgrimage last year which ends at the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussain in Karbala. I hope I can go in 2020. Largest religious gathering in the world.

I didn’t go to Iran last year but did have the chance to visit the burial site of the Prophet Daniel in Samarkand. One of the most incredible places I’ve ever been, hands down. He’s also buried in Iran too. The tomb is like 20 feet long.pic.twitter.com/yhr9cDb2j2

Did you go to Samarkand? That city is one of the greatests, what did you visit? I was a child when I visited the city. I remember Sherdor Madrasah and Shakhi Zinda.

I did go there. I'm trying to make a film on Ibn Sina which we should discuss. But yes I saw all the sights. Deeply moved by the sites.

For that you should go to Ray, which I don't advice in these dire times. City of Ray is very much like Samarkand but a lit bit spooky, it's often called the city of old horrors.
