The man was a genius but also a real jerk in real life. There is this scene where cannibals chasing them and it's the best. It starts with his soldier trying to light a match and Bloodnock says are you stupid they will see us, here take my lighter.

He was truly horrendous in real life, a wife and child beater, extremely vindictive and envious of his fellow comedians. But at the same time, an artisan like no other. Without him comedy could never be modernized.

when i was a teenager i thought he was easily in the top 5 greatest actors of all time
told that to a friend of mine who was a real cinephile. he never looked at me in the same way again after that.1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes -

He absolutely was. The fact that Kubrick casted him twice is a testimony to that.

One of the greatest, but Sellers legacy should be understood in terms of his radio performance as well:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eRNCIg86DKs …

Yes, one of creepiest creeps in film history. He was adept to run his radio gags in films.
