The US immigration officers are very professional. Sure, what they say is already scripted, but as long as you haven't been naughty they are quite welcoming. I think UK embassy officers are the worst, bunch of paranoid psychos.

Germany for me has been nothing but welcoming. I went to the embassy and I didn't have my financial docs. The officer in charge said where are they? I said it wasn't listed on your website. She disappeared for 5 mins and then she told me you are getting a visa free of charge.
