Bébé is ten-months and still (mostly) sleeps on me. Am I going to go insane, is this normal? He's refused soothers since forever, we sleep on the floor together (shikibuton style) at night; afraid I've become a baby-carrying dummy sequestered to reading sci-fi novels all day long

Not a person who can put forward advices in this field. But there is something fundamentally wrong with how Westerners treat their babies. It's called rejectomentalism. In every other corner of the world this is not only normal but also is encouraged.
