Putting aside how brilliant the book is on its own, Spinal Catastrophism constantly sends me down weird but extremely productive rabbit holes.

Thomas is one of the best. Someone who oscillates between the poles of reason and complete otherworldly experimentation.

Absolutely, and does so seamlessly. It’s like a beautiful monstrous rendition of Sellars’ how things in the broadest possible sense hang together in the broadest possible sense

I am truly a fan of his work. The first piece I read by him was that Pepsi one on Vast Abrupt. I didn't know who he is and I really disliked it. But Amy told me about him and then I received this long email from him which was just genius.

He wrote cosmic dyspepsia? I didn't know. First thing I read by him was the Aeon piece on extinction, it was brilliant. Then he blew my mind with Spinal Catastrophism

Yes, but no big deal we all write shit at some point. I actually want to read it again in the light of his recent works.
