And yes this is one of those pieces I have in mind among some others:https://jacobitemag.com/2019/07/15/disintegration/ …

do you actually think that's an argument against the physics this piece bases itself on?

You mean that the core thesis of the piece is against the principles of modern physics / scientific theories?

Can you elaborate a bit on this? I don't want to give you some vague response.

universal expansion leads to galaxies being too far apart to be seen from each other. the rest of the argument follows from this.

But to treat universal expansion as a constant vector of disentegration seems wrong (at least to me, one of the not-very-learned). There occurs in entropic processes moments of super-unity.

it's a constant vector of disintegration of the universe (which might not mean much to anything below the size of galaxies).

You see scenarios about the the ultimate fate of the universe remain quite speculative not just because of the unknown factors but because even so many of fundamental concepts that go into these scenarios are still contested.

The implications of the 2nd law are controversial since the late works of Boltzmann to Plank's essay on entropy. Not only that but the relation between gravity and entropy is still an open question.

My point: Why base your ideology on such scenarios about the universe if they are products of the ongoing labor of science.

Most hilarious example of this kind of putting the cart before the horse I saw was someone using the fact that functions can't have a larger image than their domain as somehow being evidence of entropic shit going down
