So much of this resonates well with me but so much feels like the exhaustion of someone whose potential passion has been shown to be possible only if one puts up with academic bullshit. It's sad that it's probably true, the road for philosophy academics is littered w/ bullshit

The more I have spent time outside of academia, the more I have realized that there is something fundamentally wrong with people who can endure it even being proud of their achievements. If I was in academia and doing philosophy, I would have quit after a year max.
