No, I disagree. We have been fooling ourselves about the distinction between these two worlds. But if one takes one of these worlds seriously, the said person most likely take the other world very seriously too. This is essentially a thesis about worlds and realism.

While I agree that the concrete physical differences between the various ways we communicate shouldn't be neglected, a hard division between irl and url (or simply treating one as more or less legitimate than the other) still feels mistaken.
