Cybernetics? Does anyone actually use it? It's like talking about transistors compared to AI and computer science. Most probably there are still some dads who are interested in Radio innards.

No if you actually had a morsel of knowledge about the history of these things, you knew that neither information theory or complexity theory have nothing to do with cybernetics. Sorry if that was mean.

No the origin of information theory are three names: Maxwell, Gibbs and Boltzmann. The latter is the one who implicitly made a connection between computation and entropy.
