Why as an Iranian living in the US should I see these news everyday? We Iranians at this point want to crush the regime on our own. There was a time that Iranians wanted the intervention of the US. But after all the economical degradation, this is no longer on the menu.

As a political pessimist, I think that Iranian people will suffer even more. A possible war won't buy Iranian people's opinions at this point. You can only do so much to a nation, before your potential sympathizers grudgingly rally behind their one oppressors against you.

People in the US and in Iran should understand that what is yet to come is going to be fundamentally frightful for all of us who didn't want to be part of this. The only question is that what should we do in the face of an impending protracting turmoil, which is worse than doom.

Worst even, we tend to think about this conflict as between Iran and the US. But no all other countries who have a stake in this game want a piece of us. And yes, they are completely primed and ready.

And yet we cannot demand a way out, we cannot come to a sane position between ourselves even. Because there is no "us" Iranians (and maybe there never was), nothing unites us, this is an utterly fragmented popluation held together by billions of galons of crystalized blood.

This I know fully. The amount of brutality we have levied on our Kurd and Baluchi fellows among others, no longer allows to be one united happy nation.

I cannot tell if you're being kinda sly or not to be honest. But in any case, it's not about Kurds and Baluchi people per se. Not about being one united happy nation.
