Why as an Iranian living in the US should I see these news everyday? We Iranians at this point want to crush the regime on our own. There was a time that Iranians wanted the intervention of the US. But after all the economical degradation, this is no longer on the menu.

And yet we cannot demand a way out, we cannot come to a sane position between ourselves even. Because there is no "us" Iranians (and maybe there never was), nothing unites us, this is an utterly fragmented popluation held together by billions of galons of crystalized blood.

Metzinger spoke a while back about while there is obviously no faith in any 'demoratically' led removal of Trump from office (and I'm not for a second saying this is a a solely Trumpian issue, but he's an accelerant) - but Metzinger held faith in high level military people...

potentially taking him out, it seems absurd at this point, but it would be interesting to know what is going on in the minds of certain high-level ranking personnel. obviously they froth over suffering, but they want it a certain way, and under this administration it's unknown
