    I don't understand. Somalia is a libertarian paradise- no government regulation, few laws, no coercion by the state. Why would it need US troops there? The GOP wants America to be like Somalia. It must be perfect.

    Joe Biden will pass FDR soon as the largest vote margin in beating an incumbent President in our history. He's only a few thousand votes away. This is not a close election, the election is not in dispute. This is a historic landslide and a historic repudiation of Trump.

    Hey journos- take a lesson from on how to report the news when one side is just spouting absolute nonsense... It really is OK to point out that what Trump, Giuliani and the GOP is saying is just easily debunked garbage.

    To debunk this, it would take these 5 lawmakers a few minutes to call the clerks they represent in Lansing and ask them about it. Instead, the guy was able to address the committee at length.

    Biden beat Trump in Georgia AGAIN!!! This is the 3rd time in a month.

    Georgia’s recount is set to be certified sometime today by the Secretary of State’s office. The unofficial results show it will confirm - for a third time - that Biden carried the state, with a margin of 11,779 votes.

    the day after the election. And, $14 million which would have bought a few minutes of TV ad time for Gideon or Ossoff has a much greater effect if spent at the local level on real people doing real work. That money could have paid for 7/x

    that 4 out of 5 ain't bad. For the Georgia runoff they have a separate fund that invests in groups like . You can donate to it here: But, they're also continuing to invest in local organizers for 2022 and 2024. That work started 6/x

    Arizona, Michigan, Florida, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania. They invested (starting in 2016) in a couple of dozen local organizations that were embedded in the communities they wanted to serve and engage. The results? Well, you know 5/x

    the grassroots organizing groups that are on the ground 24/7/365 doing the work to go beyond platitudes and instead are achieving public policy wins for normally marginalized people at the local, state and national levels. They also help these people organize themselves so 2/x

    OK. I know this is going to ruffle some feathers, but the best way to elect Democratic candidates is not actually to give them money.... wait for it... Yep. Don't give your $ to Gideon or Ossoff or even Warnock. The BEST way to elect progressives is to invest in 1/x

    Sara Gideon's campaign still has *$14 million* in the bank after the election—easily more than any Dem or GOP Senate candidate who's posted numbers so far

    We NEED another Covid relief package targeted at (independent) retail, restaurant, hospitality and service. We NEED the State of Michigan (MEDC) to focus on local main street businesses. (OpEd written)

    I think the headline on the latest jobs report is that the recovery is clearly slowing dramatically. Employment/population ratio has stagnated, and long-term unemployment is up.

    Unfortunately, the effective rollout of the vaccines will be delayed because Biden's administration will not be able to implement the plan they have crafted until January 20. The GOP's incompetence and enabling of Trump will kill thousands more American unnecessarily.
