Today, we are one step closer to delivering transformative investments in child care, health care, green energy, affordable housing, and much more. All while giving middle-class families a tax cut. So proud of this work and what it delivers for Massachusetts. #BuildBackBetter

I’m so proud of our work to make this package a reality for Massachusetts families. And now we must move ahead to pass Build Back Better and realize the largest investment in America’s working and middle class since the New Deal.

President Biden just signed historic bipartisan legislation that delivers billions to Massachusetts. This is a generational investment in our nations' infrastructure that helps us tackle climate change, protect clean air and water, expand public transit, and create good jobs.

Today, thousands of Massachusetts families are waking up to money in their account as a result of our hard work to expand the Child Tax Credit. We must extend the CTC expansion, and pass the Build Back Better Act to lower costs and create opportunities for all families.

Today is National Voter Registration Day! As the cynical politics of voter suppression take hold across the country, one of the best ways to fight back is voter registration. I’m so thankful for the organizers who do this work and help reinvigorate and defend our democracy.

AFL-CIO President Trumka was a powerful force for progress in our country and a champion for working families. I was honored to work with him in Congress. I offer my deepest sympathies to his family, friends, and the millions of Americans who knew him as a true servant leader.

Earlier today I was reelected Chairman of Ways & Means. I'm honored by the trust of the Democratic Caucus, and I'm proud of our committee's accomplishments over these past two years. Now, we have to get to work with the Biden-Harris administration.

We can eradicate COVID-19, and deliver real relief to get our economy back on track for working families that have been left behind for too long. We can create good paying jobs by repairing our crumbling infrastructure and tackling the existential threat of climate change.

John was a key organizer of the March, and his own words from the steps of the Lincoln Memorial still resonate today. It was one of the greatest honors of my life to work alongside a man who played a pivotal role in bending the moral arc of American history toward justice.
