    (2) Day to day management - As a manager, watch out for thieves of ideas/"bropriating" during meetings, you can say "Jim, I loved that idea when Pam first said it".

This paper is so relevant. Understanding how practitioners are operationalizing research findings in fairness/explainaibility. Thanks for this!

Interesting paper. Besides being aware that 'preferences can suck', it is relevant to think about hard topics: (1) does one have true agency in their preferences? and (2) social constructs of "preferences" (e.g. What is considered beauty in a racist world).

Great collaborative workshop on bridging the gap btw AI ethics research and practice. As an MBA student, I can say how important it is for managers to have this kind of knowledge and direction. Thanks and (Sales force) for organizing this!

(Still on hiring). I was very impressed with how Pymetrics is tackling ethics in their development. Too bad this presentation wasn't on the plenary room, it's very Relevant and complimentary to previous discussions. Excited to check their code ()

"Exploitation is a different problem from discrimination, but it's central to fairness". From this keynote, to POTS and studying up, we're seeing more and more discussion on the relationship between power and algorithmic fairness

Cool empirical study by and team. Their conclusion: people care about trade-offs arising from different fairness metrics, but no consensus on how to choose / solve - it's political

I appreciated all of the talks on fairness this first session. Suggest folks to take a look as well -- suggestions on more fair bidding auctions, fighting sentiment bias in text, and considerations for long-term equilibrium in debasing interventions
