Such a great thing to witness!
Where is the best place to go, this weekend, in SE England to see them, any idea please? Or the best tool to track? Realise no guarantees Thank you!
Hi Jane! There's a great tool called 'Starlings in the UK' which has a map of reported starling roosts, as well as how big they are. You can take a look at this here and see what you think is best for you: http://ow.ly/G0bI30qeWrj We hope this helps :)
At Albert Bridge in the centre of #Belfast. #Starlings #Winterwatch
Is that the one next to the train station? I remember watching a spectacular murmeration there at sunset about 15 years ago while waiting for the Enterprise.
Small-ish ones come over my house in the twilight this time of year, before settling nearby. The thing no one tells you is how *LOUD* the wing beats are as they fly overhead. Also the sudden draught!
We go to see them every year at @RSPBHamWall
