I had bowel cancer a few years back and the routine scans also check to see if has spread. So, the liver, lungs etc are checked. I'm not sure if everything is covered though?

The paper does not address the benefit-risk ratio of early treatment. Some cancers will never give symptoms during lifetime (overdiagnosis); some will give symptoms in the elderly, and most of them would not be the cause of death; some will kill in spite of early treatment.

It would be better to evaluate if detection in the blood can replace screening mammography, which is the cause of millions of breast cancers.https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/31875513

What are we supposed to do with this information? Cancer cells found in the blood but no discernible tumors, risks of treatment vs benefits? What will the body be able to keep in check vs not ?

I've been keeping an eye on GRAIL for 2-3 years now, from Carolina I believe. I like their approach and work. Biologically and clinically, this makes a lot sense. But psychologically & socially, not entirely sure, in terms of fear, socioeconomic, etc.
