I am curious if the paper author in question is also getting extremely rude comments. Or if it is only the female whistleblower.
-
Seriously, this is vastly beyond any sexism. Raoult is fighting for keeping the influence and money he got from his scientific aura. He would have done the same for anyone. Thus said, kudos to E. Bik for her work, perseverance and courage

Just for being director, he gets to slap his name at the end of all the papers that come out of his institute. Since he spends his time insulting Dr. Bik on TV, he likely isn't even reading most of his papers.

My question is: is social media the proper channel to question and invesgigate such suspicion or research work and publication. The way it has been handled by the critiques won't help science directly.
-
I posted my concerns on
@Pubpeer and reported them to the journals. You might think the discussion only happens on social media, but that is not correct.

Calling him a microbiologist implies he's a scientist at all and that's just an affront to science lmao
-
Actually that is not so simple. He is indeed a very prominent scientist gone rogue
