@NatlVoterRegDay hi there - i was previously registered to vote in NJ but now live in NYC. I don't want to be affiliated with any party on my registration ballot, I'd like to be "No Party". Am I still allowed to vote in primaries with no party affiliation?

Hi Dana - Most parties in NY (including both the Democratic and Republican parties) hold closed party primaries, which means you would not be eligible to vote in those primary elections if you are registered as “no party”.

Follow up question! I mailed in my voter registration in the beginning of October, before the voter registration deadline in NY. But online it says I'm still not registered in NYC. How long does it usually take to be updated?
