...so the only way to see if they are different is to hear them one by one with your ears. Just think about it, there are tons of sound files in the game and no one will do it.

Not even I have unraveled all that mess, got as far as comparing the streaming stuff and that's it. Usually there isn't a quality difference between SFX stuff on PS2+PC but digging through that to find unused stuff is a heavy challenge.

How about you try sorting the two classes of files based on spectral analysis? The total audio content in PC and PS2 should be relatively identical, so if you sort each file based on the sonic content of each file, you may end up with two lists in the same order for each game.

I've tried to do it. Sadly, due to the compression it was hard for a tool to state if the track is the same or not. If I lower "likeness" parameter, then there are lots of false positive results. Even the length of the tracks are different. No clue how to do it.
