lol, despite the fact that PS3 version of GTA SA has a different save system (SYS-DATA), the game still tries to locate the old saves "GTASAsf#.b" in the root folder.

That is looking on disk for those files, not the hard drive. This is far more confusing now.

The point I’m making is that you can’t save onto the disk so why would the save files be on the disk?

It is just a leftover from the mobile port, I guess. It stored the saves in the root folder.
