Millennials don’t hear socialism & think about the USSR or the Cold War. We hear socialism & think about Canada, Switzerland, healthcare, social security, affordable college, & affordable housing. Big generational difference.
To everyone saying “You know those countries aren’t actually socialist, right?” Yes — and that’s the point! We want socialized medicine. Subsidized education. Public infrastructure. Public schools. Public art. Fire departments. Etc. Less like Venezuela, more like Canada.
Socialism takes many forms. Corporate America has promulgated false information about socialism for decades. It is all about profits for them and has little to do with quality of life for people.
And yet, you don't live in a Socialist country.

In case you haven’t noticed, Republicans will never allow the kind of socialism they have in Canada and Switzerland because it would require raising taxes, especailly on the rich. Only one way to change that and it’s by voting. So Millennials better step up..

You do realize Canada and Switzlerand are capitalist countries? With low spending on military, they spend more on social programs, but they are definitely NOT socialist.
